051356 OCT 1944 Radar contact with convoy - plotted convoys course - it would move into our patrol area decided to attack outside patrol area in the deep hole. Targeted the port escort.

051438 OCT 1944 : Firing tube 9 Mark 18 torpedo.

051440 OCT 1944 : Torpedo hit and sank

051635 OCT 1944 going in a second time - targeted the front escort a Mutsuki Destroyer, this time planned to use a cutie - it turned out to be - not a good idea.

051659 OCT 1944 : Firing tube 1

051711 OCT 1944 : Torpedo missed - The torpedo turned before the impact point, as it locked on to the target - but as the target was going 14 knots, the Cutie missed and turned it followed the target as a small pet dog, twisting and turning as the DD did, never quite close enough.
