crossing track to set up stern shot. Fired both stern tubes, achieving one hit. Turned and fired two bow tubes.
One missed and one premature. Fired remaining two bow tubes, achieving one
hit. However Target increased speed and withdrew to the south east. Surfaced
and tracked on radar attempting to position for an end around.
291245 SEP 1942 - While tracking target turned back to original course and reduced speed, leaving Pollack right on the track. Fired four bow tubes achieving 3 hits, sinking the target.
