221045 May 1942 Toped up fuel on the 22 and supplies at Dutch Harbor, and proceeded immediately to patrol area.
Where we encountered 5 (5!) contacts we American fishing boats during our first part of the patrol that lasted to :
281830 JUN 1942 Started return trip to Dutch Harbor.
051900 JUL 1942 Where we resupplied and refueled.

We have a no time observed ANY - state ANY enemy activity on Attu and Kiska, despite close looks -
The weather has been better than expected with lots of calms seas - and only 3 minor storms.
The bets among the crew are that we've been had - that there isn't any Japanese force there at all.
Only positive remarks from Crew - "It nice not to be shot at - but mighty boring!"
